Outlook News
Outlook is a newsletter written to speak into modern life in Chenies, Chorleywood, Latimer
and Little Chalfont and suburbia generally. Over the last two years, as well as local news
and church events, the following topics have been addressed:

1. Items in the news - Climate Change, gambling and super casinos, addictions and
alcoholism and the virtual world of Third Life
2. The struggles of life including, terminal illness, depression and bereavement with
discussion evenings following up these articles in Chenies
3. Film reviews including the Bourne Ultimatum, High Street Musical 2, Amazing Grace, The
Constant Gardener as well as TV programmes - The Apprentice, Doctor Who and soaps.
4 Questions of faith like 'Many faiths - One God?', 'Does God give a damn?' addressing the
question of suffering, 'Is faith political?' and 'How to pray'. Discussion evenings have
been held on each of these subjects in Chenies to reflect more deeply on the themes
5. Seasonal Themes about Spring and Easter, Summer and harvest, Winter and Christmas

Our hope is that Outlook will stimulate thought, interest and discussion and will unveil
how much wisdom is to be found in the Christian faith for modern life. If you have ideas of
what we should include in the future call Malcolm Hazell on 01923 285361 or e-mail: malcolm.hazell@btinternet.com
