Village New Year Party

The Village New Year Party took place at Chenies school hall on Saturday evening 10th January 2009.  A very enjoyable evening was had by all who attended with delicious food and plentiful mulled wine and drinks.   We held our usual raffle and 'heads and tails' game along with an entertaining table quiz and, throughout the evening were entertained by a very talented mother and daughter singing duet who sang songs from around the globe.

Thank you to the Committee for all their hard work in organising and running the event and to Mike and Heather from the Red Lion for their generous liquid contribution!

Winners of the 'most imaginative hat'  Chris with her fantastic creation of brussels sprouts, leeks and cabbage picked fresh from her garden & decorativley arranged onto her bobble hat.  Simon in his very convincing 'Blues Brothers' ensemble and with appropriate 'attitude'

The following show a selection of photographs depicting many of our neighbours and friends wearing their 'party hats', and of couse our talented entertainers Helen & Siobhan.
