Malcolm and Dawn Hazell and their three children live in the Manse in Chenies just next to the Baptist Church. Since Dawn and Malcolm moved to the Manse in 2006 the garden and grounds of the Manse and Church have become home to chickens, ducks and their Springer Spaniel, Holly.
 
Before training for Baptist ministry at Spurgeons College in South London, Malcolm was a director of BPP Professional Education. Before Dawn had children she was a midwife and nurse.

Suzy Bower (Youth worker at Chenies Baptist Church)

 

Suzy has been Youth Worker at Chenies Baptist since September 2007. As Youth worker Suzy focuses on the 11-25 age group but will occasionally be seen taking assemblies in the local schools and will talk to adults too! Suzy was brought up in a Christian home and made a decision to become a Christian at the age of seven.

 

“At 18 I took a gap year with a Christian theatre company which is part of the charity Viz-a-viz. I learnt so much about God during my time there and decided to give myself even more to Jesus so that my whole life style matched the commitment I made all those years ago to make God all those years ago the number 1 dude in my life!”
